Trend to watch for Spring/Summer 2018.... Tropical Brights

So the sun has come out a lot more this week and the snow has all gone away, so in my book, it's Spring now, and I won't hear any different. Yes, a few days ago we may not have been able to leave the house without walking into a blizzard, but now it's time to start thinking about Summer. This year the tropical bright trend is set to be massive, and I'm definitely obsessed.

Yellow is the key colour, and Topshop are definitely on the trend early as their website at the moment seems like an influx of yellow! Keep an eye out for palm prints, pineapple and flamingo prints which started last year.

How I dress... everyday style tomboy/causal

Shirt: TK MAXX menswear / T-shirt: New Look / Jeans: Next

With my day to day personal style, I like to keep it cute and casual with pops of colour, especially pink and lilac. Oversized checked shirts are an essential in my wardrobe, they are the perfect item to break up a colourful top and are perfect for throwing on during chilly weather. Nothing's better than having the checks on your shirt, your top and your hair matching!

When this top arrived in Topshop, let me tell you I trekked far and wide for it. As far afield as Stockport, that's how dedicated I was. A sassy slogan t-shirt really adds a bit of extra excitement to an outfit, this one's good for if you're worried your outfit as it is isn't quite gay enough.

Time to get ready for athleisure bitches; the trend for wearing sportswear as casual wear has actually been around for a couple of years now, and shows no signs of slowing down. You can't go wrong with a black adidas t-shirt, that's just a fact. Throw on with a glittery scrunchie for an effortless Manchester uni look. I always roll up the hems of my jeans, partially because I am short af, partially because I think I look cool (I don't)

July 2017 Wishlist

July is here already and it looks like we're going to have good weather for a while, at least in the UK! I'm feeling like I should switch it up a bit style wise as I have been previously stuck in a rut with what to wear and I feel like I'm finding my style. So I definitely need some new things to wear...

At the moment mens shirts are really appealing to me so I've been looking the men's sections of primark and topman a lot. This shirt is really cool because it's tropical and looks like something a dad would wear on holiday, which is something I'm definitely down with. However I haven't gone fully butch and I've got my eyes on the Too Faced glitter bomb palette and love blush as the colours are just so gorgeous! This metallic topshop skirt would really finish off the outfit perfectly and make it quite well balanced.

I've had my eyes on Motel Rocks as a brand for quite a while now, their clothes are just so cute and unique and they are definitely leading the way with influencing trends on the high street. This sequinned 'mermaid' type is the most 'me' thing I've ever seen and would be perfect for a summer night out. As always I want something from Ann Summers! The tropical bra and thong are a really pretty contrast of colours and their sets are always very well made.

That's it for now, what's on your wishlist for July?

Favourite Magical Bags and Accesories

I will admit I'm not big on Accesories, however I think a small few statement pieces really brighten up an outfit and help you to stand out. I thought in this blog post I would share with you my absolute favourite bags and Accesories that look really magical. So here they are....

- SKINNYDIP mermaid backpack

Okay, I'm a little obsessed with SKINNYDIP, as you will soon find out in this post. I couldn't resist this bag such a unique stand out piece that I've had so many compliments on. The colours on it are so pretty and it's the perfect backpack for summer days.

- Zara shoes
I found these shoes in the sale at Zara, they are super cute and smart. I'm really drawn to oxford flat type shoes, they work great for pretty much any occasion; formal wear, nights out, causal days and probably also work well for going to aldi to buy cereal and avocados. (not that I do that every day. okay I do I just said the night out stuff to sound cool..)

- Topshop unicorn necklace

I don't love jewellery that much, but I just thought this necklace was absolutely beautiful. Just so tiny and subtle. I am one of those people that will literally buy anything if you stick a unicorn on it, I will buy it. Even if it's tacky, I still will think it's cute.

- SKINNYDIP rainbow bag
Shockingly, another skinnydip item is featured here! This bag is my go to night out bag, despite the fact that half the time my passport gets all crinkled up and I struggle reaching for my lipgloss, It's still so cute and the bright colours are amazing. Plus it's gay as hell, so what more could you want.

Special mention goes to my unicorn bag from missguided, and my skinnydip (I know?? can you believe it?? shell bag. You guys are so cute but I couldn't write full paragraphs.

That's it for today, what are your favourite accesories? Any others you have your eye on at the moment? Let me know!

S P R I N G F A V O U R I T E S - P I N K

Some say that glitter is just for festivals, I disagree. Glitter is so underrated, we all need to start embracing glitter on a regular basis! A bit of glitter on your cheeksite on a night out or a concerts looks amazing, and is a pretty, subtle way to stand out.

BARRY M GLITTER DUST
TOPSHOP FACE GLITTER

Recently I dyed my hair dark pink and this is by far the best dye I have used. It is a conditioning hair dye so it won'the do my hair any damage. It's also completely vegan and cruelty free. The colour is just what I wanted, carnation pink and pastel pink are a little too light for me.

DIRECTIONS HAIR DYE - FLAMINGO PINK

I just had to buy this when I saw it on the mannequin at Ann Summers, they're obviously doing their visual merchandising right! It's the perfect bright pink in very pretty and delicate lace. It can be worn under clothes as a bra or on it's own on nights out if you're feeling daring.

ANN SUMMERS NICOLA BRALET

I love to have matchy matchy lips and nails, so these shades are gorgeous. The lip gloss shade and quality is amazing- i've tried so many other lip glosses that come off really easily, but this one stays on for hours. Plus it tastes nice, not that i've ever eaten it.

Highlighter is one of my essential makeup products at the moment. What an invention- having your cheeks look like single specks of confetti!

NYX LIP BUTTER
BARRY M NAIL PAINT
ILLUMINATING STROBE CREAM
LOFTTIE LONDON MERMAID GLOW HIGHLIGHTER

What are you favourite products for spring? Let me know what you thought of my first post!
